The Wenzel Cottonwood family dome tent has been carefully thought out at the design stage.
The layout of this tent, along with it’s size, seems to appeal to families with bigger children.
Main Features
The Wenzel Cottonwood family dome tent has a great set up time and speed, being simple enough for one adult and a child to manage. Pulling it down is also a breeze as it’s regular shape makes it easy to re-pack.
With two very large rooms there is plenty of space. You can fit 2 queen airbeds in one side leaving the other room for day living or you can divide up and have a room each.
The particularly good central height allows for standing room at one end of side section. Everyone can stand to dress – a real bonus.
The 2 separate doors provide excellent access. One serves both rooms and the other gives secondary access to one of the rooms.
Although Wenzel use their Weather Armor fabric, the seams need sealing against heavy rain.
The usual easy assembly shock corded poles but quality is good so no splitting problems reported.
The updraft ventilation is very effective, providing excellent airflow even on quiet days.
The Wenzel Cottonwood family dome tent benefits from a removable rain fly allowing maximum light entry and full airflow when you want it but the fly is easily and quickly fitted if the weather changes.
The Wenzel welded tub flooring is the best for keeping things dry. With no stitched seems there is no seeping in of water. If you’ve ever found your bedding damp in the corner you know what a pain that can be!
