The word trekking means long hard journey. So a trekking holidays is a long journey.
You might think no way do I want to do that for my vacation! I am going to relax and do nothing. Just think about how nice it would be to exercise and have fun. Exercise reduces stress and makes you feel better. Getting back to nature and getting in touch with yourself can be just what the doctor ordered.
When you are on your trekking holidays you will enjoy all of the beauty that nature as to offer. You will be able to enjoy the wild life and the sounds that you do not even notice any other time. You will have time to yourself to think and reconnect with yourself. It will be the most relaxing time that you can imagine.
There are several things that you must bring when you are going on a trekking holiday
1 – The first thing that you will need is a comfortable backpack that is big enough for everything that you will need.
2 – A water pack is the second thing that you will need on your trekking holiday. Be sure that it will carry enough water for you to have plenty to drink and that you can get to it when you want it. It is important to drink lots of water.
3 – Protein Bars are the third thing that you need to bring. Just be careful to get protein bars that are not full of sugar. They need to be high in protein and fiber so that they will sustain your energy level.
4 – Bug spray – There are plenty of cool bugs you will come across, but there are some nasty little critters that will make your trip miserable if you do not take precautions. Mosquitoes, biting gnats, horse flies, and wasps are just a few of the bites and stings awaiting you if you aren’t prepared. Pick a high quality spray that will not wash off with sweat, or stain your clothing. Make sure you apply frequently, and don’t forget your clothes and shoes!
5 – The fifth thing that is very important is sun screen. The sun is very good for you, but you do not want to be over exposed. Be sure that this is water proof also and that it has a high SPF in it.
